I was in Copenhagen mainly for flights but booked a few days there and absolutely fell in love with the place. No trip to Copenhagen would be complete without a visit to Sweden so I decided to do the trip known as around the sound which is basically a train and ferry from Copenhagen to Helsingborg in Sweden, a train from there to Malmo city then back to Copenhagen from Malmo.
You can buy an around the sound ticket from the station in Copenhagen and that gave me 2 days so I decided to make a night of it and stay in Helsingborg. Which was frankly quite a boring town to spend a night in, I would definitely recommend staying in Malmo instead. Malmo was a buzzing little multi-cultural city that I did not get to spend nearly enough time in! The other bonus about Malmo is that it was slightly cheaper than Copenhagen, but nothing is cheap in this part of the world.
I have hardly any pictures from this trip so am keeping this post short and sweet just for anyone else that is looking for information on doing this. You can do it in a day quite easily but if you can spend at least one night in Sweden then do, It’s a cool place.
